Amazon has canceled its planned acquisition of Roomba maker iRobot The company claims that the deal faces "undue and disproportionate regulatory hurdles." The company will pay iRobot the breakup cost of $94 million.
The decision was made after the European Commission, the EU's executive arm and top antitrust enforcer, announced that it had an "preliminary view" that the acquisition would affect competition.
